Patent-Protected Anti-Jackknife Technology

One small device Integrated into trailers is all it takes to:

Eliminate Jackknife Accidents for
Semi-Trailer Vehicles

Highway Car Truck Crash

Save Thousands of Lives

Reduce Economic Impacts
for Fleets, Insurance, and all Motorists

Trailer jackknifing remains one of the most dangerous and costly failure modes in commercial trucking. These incidents frequently result in multi-vehicle accidents, severe injuries, cargo loss, and significant liability exposure—
often reaching six- or seven-figure losses per event.
Despite advancements in braking and stability systems, existing solutions are largely reactive and do not adequately prevent loss-of-control scenarios during sudden braking or low-traction conditions.

Our NO JACK Jackknife Prevention System delivers advanced safety by preventing excessive rotational movement between semi-tractors and trailers during forward motion.

NO JACK activates based on vehicle speed and ABS deployment, keeping rotations within recoverable limits.

NO JACK Jackknife Prevention

Integrated directly into OEM trailer frames,
NO JACK features a fully automated pneumatic retention pin that engages the "V" throat of the fifth-wheel coupling, locking the connection with limited rotation and ensuring secure cargo transport regardless of weather or road conditions.

With NO JACK, fleets benefit from increased safety, reduced insurance costs, and enhanced appeal to safety-conscious public roadway users.
Implementation of jackknife prevention systems will save thousands of lives each year.

NO JACK fits seamlessly between trailer frame rails, below the cargo floor, affixed to the apron plate.
During low forward speed and while the truck is reversing, NO JACK remains disengaged, allowing for full articulation.

The kingpin and fifth-wheel coupling system is the global standard for connecting trailers, offering a proven, safe, and reliable design for most payloads. NO JACK seamlessly integrates with existing American and European fifth-wheel hardware, ensuring compatibility and readiness for the future of carrier transit.

Articulation Limits

NO JACK offers adjustable positioning within the fifth-wheel throat, depending on customer needs and preferences. The allowable trailer rotation may be set from 10° to 15°, within recoverable limits per FMCSA safety guidelines.

Fifth Wheel Rotation Limit

NO JACK provides sufficient rotational flexibility to allow semi-trailer vehicles to safely navigate lane changes, tight exit ramps, and complex cloverleaf interchanges, and maintains optimal safety during emergency maneuvers.

When engaged, trucks CAN still use the road

SAFETY Redundancy

NO Driver Interaction REQUIRED

Truck Driver in Winter Conditions

NO JACK brings intelligence to trailers by autonomously responding to speed and detecting ABS deployment with no driver interaction required.

The NO JACK system operates independently of the connected truck and uses a wheel sensor to determine the trailer speed and ABS deployment. No other data connections are required.

IF Loss of Air Pressure

Loss of Air Pressure

In the unlikely event of air pressure loss in the trailer service line, NO JACK gradually disengages as the spring loaded trailer brakes activate.

IF Loss of Power

Dead Battery Indicator

Should power to the trailer be lost, NO JACK gradually disengages while trailer brakes engage reactively.

Autonomous Hauling

As the industry shifts toward automated hauling, trailer safety remains paramount. Slick conditions, roadside hazards, and unforeseen scenarios can challenge even the most advanced automated trucking systems, putting bystanders and property at risk. NO JACK safeguards roadways by ensuring secure loads on autonomous haulers, paving the way for a safer transition to a driverless future.

How is NO JACK Made?

The NO JACK retention pin is crafted with the same material as the kingpin, AISI 8630H Alloy Steel. With an ultimate tensile strength of 150,000 PSI and yield strength of 115,000 PSI, NO JACK is engineered to recover the heaviest and most delicate payloads safely under any environmental or transit conditions.

The unit body is high-tensile-strength steel, securely affixed to the apron plate, and delivered to trailer manufacturers for integration during assembly.

Compact and efficient, NO JACK weighs 35 pounds.
